FLEET AND EQUIPMENT

We have not set out to be a "large volume" carrier but rather, to operate at a personal level for a select group of customers. The Hi-tech Express fleet is therefor quite small in comparison to some of our competitors but is in proportion to the small, select client base we serve. We are however, committed to adding extra vehicles and operators as agreed necessary. The small, personalised nature of Hitech Express, means that all of our operators become familiar with your staff, products, customers' sites, and specific needs.

Our vehicles are purpose built and fitted with equipment such as dust free pantechs, hydraulic tail-lift platforms, padded rub rails and load lock restraints. The majority of vehicles have "air ride "suspension for reduction of road vibration and are manned by trained personnel, who understand the need for careful handling and professional behaviour in front of your customers. It is mandatory, for all new operators to have a minimum of 10 years proven experience moving large, sensitive products.

Load restraint

All equipment, packed or unpacked, is secured in pickup/delivery (PUD) and interstate linehaul vehicles, using twist-lock load restraint belts and bars.

Freight cells

A variety of re-useable freight cells, crates, skids and cages are used as well as purpose designed and built crates if required.

Pallet movers and Trolleys

All vehicles carry pallet Jack, flat barrows, 2 wheel trolley, steel sheeting, tools and timbers for building ramps.

Stair Climbers and Stair Walkers

Hitech Express has a variety of Stair Walkers and Climbers for conveying equipment to upstairs locations.

Miscellaneous

Any other equipment need is sourced and supplied by Hitech Express when needed.
